Admissions and Tuition

Admission into Casa Dei Bambini

  1. INQUIRY

Please call the School to schedule a School Tour and Observation. Tours and observations begin each year in October and end March 31st. . Parents are required to observe and tour the school before being placed on our waiting list. Please carefully review and familiarize yourself with the Montessori Philosophy before your appointment. This is a parent only observation and tour. All appointments must be made in advanced.

  2. THE APPLICATION

After the school tour, complete the application with a $50.00 nonrefundable fee and return it to the school office. Applicants will be placed on our waiting list.

  3. THE STUDENT VISIT

The School Secretary will call to schedule a school visit for the child. For student ages 3-5, this visit typically lasts 30 minutes. For students applying for 1st level through 5th level, Lower Elementary and Upper Elementary, applicants will spend at least one half day in the classroom with the teacher and their peers.

  4. ACCEPTANCE

Acceptance of a child is based on several factors. One of these factors is the match of the family's and the school's educational goals for the child. All students entering our Primary Program must be at least 3 years old by September 1st of the current school year and toilet trained. Siblings of present contracted students are given priority. New applicants are selected for the remaining spaces. One of our goals is to maintain gender and age balance within the classrooms. Evaluations from the child's present school (if applicable) also play an important part in the selection process. Each application is reviewed by the Director. Families will be notified by mail or phone. Accompanying the acceptance letter is an Enrollment Contract which must be completed and returned to the school within fourteen days. The tuition contract is sent to you upon receipt of your deposit and registration fees. Casa dei Bambini enrolls new students every year the first week of March, after pre-registration of our existing students.

Casa dei Bambini Montessori School admits students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. It does not discriminate on the national and ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies, admission polices, scholarship and loan programs, and athletic and other school administered programs.

Tuition Obligations

Tuition obligations are non-refundable. Patrons understand and agree that the Student is enrolled for the entire school year, and the Patron becomes liable for the entire year’s tuition upon the signing of the Enrollment Contract. If thereafter the Student is withdrawn, absent, or expelled, the School will not refund any amounts paid and the Patrons remain responsible for the entire year’s tuition and fees. The Patrons further agree that the obligation to pay tuition, fees, assessments, and charges (“financial obligations”) for the entire school year is unconditional and that the withdrawal of absences by the Student from Casa dei Bambini Montessori School, for any reason, including illness, unsatisfactory academic progress, disciplinary suspension or expulsion, or failure to pay tuition in a timely manner, does not relieve the Patrons of the responsibility for payment of the entire year’s financial obligations. Similarly, the Patrons remain solely responsible for payment of all financial obligations, regardless of whether the Patrons depend upon or anticipate other sources for funding. The Student is expected to participate actively in all aspects of school life. If, in the sole discretion of the Head of the School, the Student persistently is absent from classes, neglects work, fails to meet academic standards, exercises poor citizenship, or fails to cooperate, the Student may be asked to withdraw from the School. Cancellation under this paragraph will not relieve the Patrons of the responsibility for payment of the entire year’s financial obligations.

Required to hold students enrollment space for the upcoming year. In the event of cancellation, the enrollment deposit, Comprehensive Fee and Matriculation Fee, if applicable, shall be non-refundable.

* A 3% convenience fee will be added to all credit card charges. Prices are subject to change without notice.
